The philosophy of balancing your chakras with food focuses on eating foods of certain colours to nourish your body and soul at a deep level.
BUT… WHAT ARE THE CHAKRAS?
Chakras are energy centres within the human body running from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each chakra is associated with a colour and a specific physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual aspect. When the chakras are healthy and balanced, they spin and allow the energy to flow through your body with no disruptions. However, if a chakra is blocked this leads to a disruption in the flow of the energy causing both physical and emotional issues.

SO, HOW CAN YOU BALANCE YOUR CHAKRAS WITH FOOD?
Before we dive deeper into the food-chakra connection, it’s important to understand that we are energy which can be shifted by our thoughts, words, environment, the air we breathe, the colours we see and the food we eat.
Essentially, food is also energy since they are created from animals and plants and, like humans, some vibrate higher and some lower. Meat, for instance, has the lowest energy vibration of any food, however, fruits and vegetables have a higher frequency vibration.
Therefore, when we listen to our bodies and choose foods to eat in alignment with our soul, the vibration of food interacts with the vibration of our chakras, and the healing begins. We feel relaxed, grounded and energized, and we live a harmonious life.
CHAKRAS AND THE RAINBOW DIET
All foods have a vibrational alignment to the seven main chakras and their associated colours. By incorporating each of the seven colours into our diet, we feed ourselves emotionally and physically as we absorb the various nutritional properties contained in the colours of the food.
