The Crown Chakra, also known as Sahasrara, is the seventh energy centre and its located on top of the head extending slightly above two inches. This energy centre is our gateway with the Divine.
During meditation or prayer, the Crown chakra is opened and disperses the Universal energy or life force (chi or prana) into the six other chakras located below it. It is less physical than the other chakras, and it vibrates at the highest rate.
Although it’s affected by the other chakras, it also influences them, especially the Root, Solar Plexus and Throat chakras. While the Root chakra obtains energy from the Earth for its activation, the seventh chakra is nourished by the life force. Both the Root and Crown chakras meet in the middle, at the level of the Solar Plexus and Heart chakras.
When we pray, we allow our consciousness to receive intuitive guidance.GABBY BERNSTEIN
Sahasrara is different from the Third Eye chakra since it connects with prayer while the Third Eye chakra is more connected with meditation.
Prayer may take different forms, such as chanting, religious hymns, formal prayer or even directly conversations with God. All these forms have the power to connect with the Creator.

PHYSIOLOGY AND THE CROWN CHAKRA
The Crown chakra fills each cell with consciousness.
The highest chakra works together with the lowest chakra to create an energy flow throughout our body: the Root chakra provides with the physical matter of DNA, our foundation, whereas the Crown chakra is the force that brings the cells alive, allowing us to function as a divine, intelligent being, connected to the Creator.
NON-FOODS FOR PURIFICATION AND CLARIFICATION
Since the Crown chakra is non-physical, it doesn’t need physical activities like cooking or preparing food. It vibrates with simplicity, such as a glass of pure water, a vegetable picked from the garden or a piece of fresh fruit.
Sunlight and the seventh chakra energy can impregnate our physical body and spark certain cell processes.
Ultraviolet light has been shown to activate vitamin D which supports the Crown chakra functions.
Oxygen keeps our cells vibrant and flowing. With oxygen, our being stays conscious and alive.
